Wombo Dream Showcase | AI Art

I’ve been following the world of AI art with a sense of trepidation; I’m a digital artist and knew at some point I’d be hanging up my mouse and letting the ‘robots’ take over. In 2022, I thought AI had reached that stage and published my debut collection of poetry featuring Wombo generated AI art as a snazzy addition to plain text (paperback version only).

It’s 2024, and I find myself in a position to think about a second collection. I renewed my Wombo subscription and was delighted to find loads more added styles; now there are over 100! I thought I’d share the diversity of Wombo Dream AI art in a show case, all using the same prompt:

“2 girls, hand in hand, walking across a field filled with wild flowers”

The latest styles are at the beginning, you’ll notice at the end that these are the earlier styles and much more primitive. Some are not suited to the prompt such as ‘robots’ but it does its best. Can’t imagine what will happen in another two years, technology is moving fast. I did hope that they’d add access to the app through PC/Mac but it’s still Android only, however, the user can save and then download pictures with different options like cloud based Google drive etc, so perhaps it’s not too much of a barrier.

Here’s an example of an updated style, and below is the video showcase.

Enjoy!
